Questions about the Ignitor Pant
How thick is the neoprene in the Ignitor Pant?
It uses 2 mm neoprene made from recycled tires, with recycled nylon on both the inside and outside. It is meant for basic immersion protection on cool days rather than very cold water.
How do I choose a size?
Measure your waist and hips and match them to the chart. A size M fits a 31–33 inch waist and 39–41 inch hips (numeric size 8–10) with a 30 inch pant inseam. The pant has a form fit, so it should feel snug.
What can I wear the Ignitor Pant with?
It pairs well with a dry top or splash top and a PFD. The wide yoga-style waistband is designed to sit comfortably under layers.
Is the Ignitor Pant waterproof?
No. A wetsuit lets a thin layer of water in and the neoprene insulates you. If you need to stay dry, look at dry pants or a dry suit.
Is the Ignitor Pant flame resistant or rated for firefighting?
No. The Ignitor Pant is a neoprene wetsuit for water rescue and paddling. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified.
