How warm is the Ignitor Jacket?
It uses 2 mm neoprene, which NRS describes as basic immersion protection for cool temperatures and chilly splash. For cold water or long immersion, step up to a thicker wetsuit or a dry suit.
Is the Ignitor Jacket good for water rescue work?
It is a basic, affordable warmth layer that works well for training, lifeguard duty and warm-water boat work. It is not a substitute for a dry suit or a thicker wetsuit in cold or swiftwater conditions.
What is it made of?

Is the Ignitor Jacket flame resistant?
No. The Ignitor Jacket is water rescue and paddling gear. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
How do I choose a size?
The Ignitor has a form fit. Use chest first: a size L fits a 42–45 inch chest with a 33 inch sleeve.
