For the fire service

Hands-Free Light on the Helmet or Coat

A helmet light points where you look, and a right-angle light rides on your turnout coat. The Vantage mounts above or below the brim and shows a blue taillight to the crew behind you. The Vantage 180 X adds a USB rechargeable battery and pops off its helmet bracket to work as a pocket or right-angle light.

Streamlight FAQ

  • Who makes Streamlight lights?

Streamlight, Inc. has designed, built and sold flashlights for more than 50 years. Its headquarters and manufacturing plant are in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, and it makes lights for firefighting, law enforcement, military, industrial, automotive and outdoor work.

  • Which Streamlight light goes on a fire helmet?

The Vantage mounts above or below the brim of fire helmets, industrial helmets and hard hats and has a blue taillight. The Vantage 180 X USB also mounts to full-brim fire helmets and comes off its bracket to use as a hand light or right-angle light. The rubber helmet strap holds many Streamlight lights on a helmet without drilling.

  • What is a right-angle light?

A right-angle light has its head turned 90 degrees to the body, so it can clip to the front of a turnout coat and shine forward while your hands stay free. Streamlight makes the Survivor and the PolyTac 90 this way, and the Vantage 180 X turns into one when you rotate its head.

  • Which Streamlight is safety rated for hazardous locations?

The Streamlight 4AA ProPolymer LED flashlight is Class I, Division 1 safety rated. It runs on four AA alkaline batteries, which are included, and gives 67 lumens of soft flood light for up to 155 hours.

  • What is the warranty on Streamlight lights?

Streamlight lists a limited lifetime warranty on most of its lights. Rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches and electronics are covered for 2 years with proof of purchase, and batteries, bulbs, abuse and normal wear are not covered. The Public Safety Store is an authorized Streamlight dealer, so send us your order number and we will help with a claim.
