Black Diamond Headlamps, Lanterns & Carabiners

Black Diamond grew out of Chouinard Equipment, the climbing gear shop Yvon Chouinard started in 1965. In 1989 a group of its employees took over the company, renamed it Black Diamond and moved it to Salt Lake City. Today it makes climbing hardware, headlamps, lanterns and other mountain gear.
