At The Public Safety Store, we believe in transparency and fairness—especially when it comes to shipping. During checkout, you'll be able to review and select the shipping option that works best for you. Each option will clearly display its associated cost before you finalize your order.
Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on package weight, destination, and selected carrier service. We do not inflate or hide shipping charges—what you see is exactly what we pay to get your order safely to your door.
Whenever possible, we pass along carrier discounts and use the most cost-effective, reliable methods. For large, custom, or agency orders, additional freight or handling costs may apply, and our team will always contact you for approval before processing those shipments.
Your final total—including shipping—is clearly shown before you complete your purchase.
When an item is in stock at the time of your order, it ships promptly using the carrier method you selected at checkout.
If part of your order is backordered, we will ship what we have available right away using your chosen shipping method. When backordered items become available, they will be sent as a separate, subsequent shipment.
We will notify you by email when your backorder shipment is on its way, including full tracking information. Our team monitors all open backorders closely and will reach out if an extended delay occurs to discuss substitutions or order adjustments.
Most in-stock orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours of being placed. Expedited orders are prioritized for fulfillment and shipped first whenever possible.

We ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS for most orders. Each option is presented at checkout so you can choose the method that best fits your delivery needs and budget.

Once your order is ready for pickup—or has shipped from our warehouse—you'll receive an email notification with full details. For local pickup, please wait for that confirmation before arriving.
At The Public Safety Store, we proudly support the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. We gladly ship to APO, FPO, and DPO addresses via USPS to ensure reliable delivery through the military postal system.
We strongly discourage PO Box addresses whenever possible, as some carriers are unable to deliver to them, which can cause delays or returned shipments.
While our team makes every effort to catch address issues before shipment, it is ultimately the customer's responsibility to provide a valid, deliverable address. Orders returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address are subject to a $15 reshipment fee. If the actual reshipment cost exceeds this amount, you will be responsible for the difference before the order can be resent.
We take great care in packaging every order. However, damage can occasionally occur during transit. If your order arrives damaged, please report it within 2 business days of delivery so we can resolve it quickly.
FedEx & UPS Shipments: We will file a claim on your behalf. The carrier may contact you to confirm details or inspect the damaged package. Once approved, a replacement will ship promptly.
USPS Shipments: Please retain all original packaging materials and contact us immediately. We'll assist you with the postal claim process and arrange replacements as appropriate.
We know how important your equipment and uniforms are to your mission, and we'll do everything possible to make it right quickly and professionally.
If your order appears lost or delayed, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible. We'll work directly with the carrier to locate your shipment and keep you informed every step of the way.
Once an order has shipped, delivery responsibility transfers to the carrier (UPS, FedEx, or USPS). While we can't control carrier errors, we will make every reasonable effort to assist in resolving the issue quickly and fairly.
If tracking shows “Delivered” but you haven't received the package, please:
- Double-check the shipping address on your order confirmation
- Check with neighbors, building management, or your local post office / UPS / FedEx facility
- Contact our team once these steps are completed so we can open a carrier investigation if necessary
If the carrier confirms the package was lost in transit, we will issue a replacement or appropriate resolution as quickly as possible.
At this time, we offer international shipping to Canada only, via USPS.
We're continually evaluating ways to expand our reach and appreciate your understanding.
We do not ship to freight forwarding companies or third-party international forwarding addresses. Orders placed with these types of addresses may be canceled or delayed.
