How warm is the Women's Ignitor Jacket?
It uses 2 mm neoprene, which NRS describes as basic immersion protection for cool temperatures and chilly splash. For cold water or long immersion, step up to a thicker wetsuit or a dry suit.
Is the Women's Ignitor Jacket good for water rescue work?
It is a basic, affordable warmth layer for training, lifeguard duty and warm-water boat work. It is not a substitute for a dry suit or thicker wetsuit in cold or swiftwater conditions.
What is it made of?

Is the Women's Ignitor Jacket flame resistant?
No. The Women's Ignitor Jacket is water rescue and paddling gear. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
How do I choose a size?
The Ignitor has a form fit. Use chest and hip: a size M fits a 36–37 inch chest and a 39–41 inch hip with a 31 inch sleeve.
