Questions about the Ignitor Pant
How warm is the Ignitor Pant?
It uses 2 mm neoprene, which NRS describes as basic immersion protection for cool temperatures and chilly splash. For cold water or long immersion, step up to a thicker wetsuit or a dry suit.
Is the Ignitor Pant good for water rescue work?
It is a basic, affordable warmth layer for training, raft and paddle-boat crews and warm-water boat work. It is not a substitute for a dry suit or thicker wetsuit in cold or swiftwater conditions.
What is it made of?
2 mm neoprene made from recycled tires, with a fully recycled nylon interior and exterior, dope-dyed face fabrics, water-based adhesives and flat-lock seams.
Is the Ignitor Pant flame resistant?
No. The Ignitor Pant is water rescue and paddling gear. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
How do I choose a size?
The Ignitor has a form fit. Use waist and inseam: a size L fits a 32–35 inch waist with a 30–32 inch inseam.
