Is the Hooded SoftShell Job Shirt waterproof?
It is water repellent rather than waterproof. The DWR-treated softshell repels moisture and resists dirt and protects you from cold, wind and rain. For a fully waterproof shell, look at the Propper Station Waterproof Duty Jacket.
Can I remove the hood?
Yes. The drawstring-adjustable hood is removable and stows in the right hip pocket, which also holds gloves or a watch cap.
Is the softshell job shirt flame resistant?
No. The Hooded SoftShell Job Shirt is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel, carries no NFPA certification and is not PPE or turnout gear. Wear it for station wear, range days and outdoor work, not for fire exposure.
