A softshell built to work as a duty jacket. The Propper BA Softshell Duty Jacket (Style F5483) gives you water-resistant weather protection, built-in storage and pull-out ID panels on the chest and back. Side zips open for ventilation and duty belt access, and the removable hood stows in a zippered pocket on the back. It is fully built for on-duty use and just as capable off duty.

Is the BA Softshell Duty Jacket waterproof?
It is water-resistant, not waterproof. A water-resistant treatment helps shed moisture. For a fully waterproof shell with sealed seams, look at the Propper 3-in-1 Hardshell Parka.
Is the BA Softshell flame resistant?
No. The source fabric carries no flame-resistance or NFPA claim. It is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel and is not PPE or turnout gear. For FR clothing, see Propper Wildland and FR clothing.
Can I add department ID or patches?
Yes. The jacket has a removable pull-out back ID panel and dual chest ID panels, and optional loop fields on the sleeves are available. Contact us about custom ID panels, sleeve loop fields or other decoration.
How does the BA Softshell fit over a duty belt?
Side zips open for ventilation and duty belt access, and the double-slider front zipper opens from the bottom. Sizes run XS through 5XL, with a Long length for taller wearers.
