The Portwest FC26 has an Action Leather upper with a high cut that protects and supports the ankle, plus a textile midsole plate for puncture resistance and a robust scuff cap. The engineered tread grips uneven ground and resists fuel, oil and water, and the outsole is heat resistant to 572°F. Does the Portwest FC26 have a safety toe?
No. The FC26 is an occupational boot certified to ASTM F2892-24 SD100 PR SR, the standard for protective footwear without a safety toe cap. It does have puncture resistance, slip resistance and static dissipation.
Is the FC26 waterproof?
Portwest lists a waterproof membrane along with a water resistant upper. Contact us if you need it for standing water or all-day wet work.
Is the FC26 metal free?
Yes. It is 100% metal free, non-magnetic and nickel and ferrous free.
Is the FC26 rated for electrical hazard (EH)?
No. Its ASTM marking is SD100, which means static dissipative, not EH. SD footwear helps bleed off static charge; it is not designed to insulate you from live electrical circuits.
Is the Portwest FC26 boot flame resistant?
