- Perforated face shield: fleece-lined with an offset zipper; zip it up against wind and spray or open it to vent.
- GlideSkin volcano-style overcuffs: cover more of the wrist and hand to keep water off the latex wrist gaskets, with mesh drain holes underneath.
- 5 inch neoprene waist overskirt: a double-pull hook-and-loop closure seals it over a sprayskirt tunnel.

Questions about the Navigator semi-dry suit
Is the Navigator a full dry suit?
No. It is a semi-dry suit: the neck uses a neoprene gasket instead of latex, which is much more comfortable and gives reliable protection for moderate activities and conditions. NRS recommends semi-dry suits for flat water, stand-up paddling, canoeing and moderate rivers with low consequences. For full immersion in cold or fast water, choose a dry suit with a latex neck gasket.
Is the Navigator waterproof?
Yes. The 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro fabric is waterproof, windproof and breathable, and the front entry is a YKK Aquaseal zipper with a protective flap. The neoprene neck is the one seal that is not fully watertight.
Does the Navigator have a hood?
Yes. An articulated storm hood with three bungee adjustments, plus a perforated, fleece-lined face shield. The hood rolls up and stows with a fabric loop and hook.
Is the Navigator flame resistant?
No. The Navigator is water rescue and paddling gear. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
How do I choose a size?
Start with height, bust and hip on the chart. A size M, for example, fits 5'5" to 5'8", a 35–39 inch bust and a 38–42 inch hip, about a numeric size 8–10. If you plan to layer heavy insulation underneath, contact us and we will help you choose.
