Questions about the Element Jacket
Is the Element Jacket a full dry top?
It has latex wrist gaskets and a double tunnel, but the neck uses a GlideSkin neoprene gasket instead of latex. NRS says it still keeps most water out, so it is not a fully latex-sealed dry top.
What does the face shield do?
The perforated, fleece-lined face shield blocks wind and spray without restricting airflow, and an offset zipper keeps it out of your way.
How do I choose a size?
Use the bust, waist and sleeve ranges in the chart, which also lists numeric sizes. A size M fits a 33–37 inch bust (numeric 8–10).
Does it work with a sprayskirt?
Yes. The inner skirt with a dual-adjust neoprene waist mates with your sprayskirt. See more water rescue PPE.
Is the Element Jacket flame resistant?
No. It is waterproof paddling dry wear for water rescue and open-water work. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified.
