Why can't I just swap the top cap?
The handle and piston on the NRS 5 inch Barrel Pump are glued to the shaft, so the cap cannot slide off without cutting the shaft.
What are my repair options?
Option 1: also buy a replacement handle and shaft plus a replacement piston. Option 2: saw off the shaft right below the existing handle and fit a replacement handle; this slightly shortens the pumping stroke.
Which parts do I need for option 1?
The NRS Barrel Pump Handle and Shaft (choose Handle and Shaft) and the NRS Barrel Pump Piston. For option 2, choose Handle Only.
