How do I know if my pump needs the round adapter?
The round adapter is for NRS Barrel Pumps made prior to 2010. Newer pumps have a square recess molded into the bottom of the pump barrel and take the Square Corner Hose Adapter.
Can I use the square adapter instead?
NRS says the Square Corner Hose Adapter also works on barrel pumps made before 2010.
Am I replacing the check valve too?
On pumps with a check valve, the valve threads are glued to the corner hose adapter, so a check valve replacement also needs a new adapter.
