Description:
A stiff nylon carry belt that fits exactly right, every time you put it on. The Kore Essentials 1.5" Tactical Nylon EDC Belt replaces belt holes with a hidden ratchet track, so you tighten or loosen in small 1/4" steps instead of jumping a full hole. It is twice as stiff as Kore's leather EDC belts, which makes it the pick for anyone who wears gear on the belt every day, inside or outside the waistband. Pick your buckle, color and size below, or browse all Kore EDC belts.
Features
- 40+ fit positions in 1/4" increments: the hidden track sits in the back of the belt, so there are no holes and the fit is never too tight or too loose.
- 1.5" wide, 5mm thick: fits standard belt loops and sits flat for inside-the-waistband, outside-the-waistband or appendix wear.
- Power-Core reinforced center: stiff enough to carry a heavy load without sagging, yet flexible enough to sit, drive and move all day.
- Rated up to 10 lbs of gear: the nylon web outer layer is rated to 500 lbs, backed by a Super Fiber inner lining.
- Twice as stiff as Kore leather EDC belts: the tactical construction holds more gear more steadily than a leather belt.
- Spring-loaded ratchet buckle: Kore's patented buckle mechanism is built to stay reliable and not stick; pull the tail to tighten, press the release lever to loosen.
- Interchangeable buckles: the buckle is held by a row of teeth and two set screws, so you can swap to any Kore 1.5" EDC buckle later.
- Tip keeper included: keeps the stiff tail of the belt flat against your pants.
How to choose
- Buckle: every buckle here fits the same 1.5" strap and works the same way; only the style changes, so pick the look you like. X1, X2, X3 and X6 Gunmetal have a gunmetal finish, X5, X6 Black, X7 and X10 Black are powder coated, X8 comes in Brass or Nickel, X9 is nickel, and X4 Stainless Steel is solid stainless. X11 Black and X12 Black are aluminum and weigh just 1.6 oz. Bull, Cowboy, Flag, Rodeo and Star are Kore's Western-style buckles. See every option in Kore belt buckles.
- Color: Black, Coyote, Gray, Green, Tan 499 or Navy Blue nylon. Match your duty gear, uniform or everyday pants.
- Size: pick by your waist, see the sizing section below. Regular fits 24" to 54"; EXL fits 54" to 72".
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-54") | 24" to 54" |
| EXL (54"-72") | 54" to 72" |
- Find your pant size using the ruler markings printed on the back of the belt.
- Add 4 inches to your pant size if you wear your gear outside the waistband (OWB), or 6 inches if you wear it inside the waistband (IWB). Cut at that mark with a sharp pair of scissors. Example: with a 34" pant size, cut at the 38" mark for OWB or the 40" mark for IWB.
- Use the included wrench to loosen the two set screws on the back of the buckle, then push the cut end of the belt all the way into the buckle's toothed receptacle.
- Clamp the teeth down firmly first, then gently tighten the two set screws until they sit flush. Don't tighten the screws before the teeth are closed, and don't overtighten them.
- Wrap the belt around your waist from left to right, feed it through the buckle and tighten until snug. The tip should reach about 3 inches past your first belt loop.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

What's included
The buckle you choose, the 1.5" tactical nylon belt strap, a tip keeper, a hex wrench and set screws. The buckle ships separate from the strap: cut the strap to size, then attach the buckle in minutes with the included wrench. Want a second color? Add a spare strap from Kore belt straps, inner belts and keepers.
Questions about the Kore tactical nylon EDC belt
Should I order the Regular or the EXL size?
Order by the number you will cut to: your pant size plus 4 inches for outside-the-waistband wear, or plus 6 inches for inside-the-waistband wear. If that number falls between 24 and 54 inches, choose Regular (24"-54"). If it is over 54 inches, choose EXL (54"-72").
Can I swap the buckle later?
Yes. The strap works with any Kore 1.5" EDC buckle and Kore 1.5" EDC belt straps. Loosen the two set screws with the included 2.5mm wrench, open the teeth, and move the buckle to the new strap. It does not fit Kore Q Series, Ranch Series, Competition, Garrison, Battle or Duty buckles. Browse Kore belt buckles.
How much can the tactical nylon belt carry?
Kore rates it for up to 10 lbs of total gear. The 5mm thick belt has a Power-Core reinforced center and is twice as stiff as Kore's leather EDC belts, so it holds a loaded belt steady inside or outside the waistband.
Why does the belt come with a tip keeper?
The tactical belt is stiff, so the tail end can stand away from your pants. The included tip keeper wraps around the tail and holds it flat.
Is the Kore tactical nylon EDC belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. The warranty does not cover cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, or damage caused by gear. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we'll handle the claim for you.
