Description:
A second strap for the buckle you already own. This is the Kore Essentials 1.5" EDC belt strap by itself, no buckle. Add a leather strap for the office, a tactical nylon strap for work days, and move your Kore X Series or Western buckle between them in minutes. It lives with the other Kore straps, inner belts and keepers.
Features
- 1.5" wide, 5 mm thick: Kore's EDC width, built for inside the waistband (IWB), outside the waistband (OWB) and appendix carry.
- Hidden 10" ratchet track: 40+ size positions in 1/4" steps and no holes, so you get an exact fit that adjusts as you sit, eat or add gear.
- Power-Core™ reinforced center: every Kore EDC strap has a reinforced core that keeps it stiff enough to carry a heavy load without sagging, yet flexible enough to sit and move in all day.
- Tactical nylon: a nylon web outer layer (rated to 500 lbs) over the Power-Core center and a Super-Fiber liner. Stiffer than leather and rated for up to 10 lbs of total gear.
- Leather and Armortek: dressier straps for work and casual wear. Kore rates its Buffalo leather and Basketweave straps up to 6 lbs of total gear.
- Buckle fit: compatible with Kore X Series and Western Collection buckles. Not compatible with G-Series, battle belt buckles or Kore's non-EDC fashion buckles.
How to choose
- Material: Full Grain Leather, Buffalo Western Leather and Armortek for a classic leather look; Tactical Nylon or USA Made Tactical Nylon for the stiffest strap and heaviest loads.
- Color: colors vary by material (camo patterns such as MultiCam and A-TACS iX are nylon). Pick the color shown for the material you chose.
- Size: pick by waist using the range on each size. Regular (24"-44") and XL (44"-54") are the leather sizes; Regular (24"-54") and EXL (54"-72") cover the larger ranges. Remember to add 4" or 6" to your pant size first (see below).
- Buckle: not included. Any Kore X Series or Western Collection buckle fits; shop Kore belt buckles.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-44") | 24" to 44" |
| XL (44"-54") | 44" to 54" |
| Regular (24"-54") | 24" to 54" |
| EXL (54"-72") | 54" to 72" |
- Find your pant size on the ruler markings printed on the back of the strap.
- Add for how you wear it, then cut. Add 4 inches to your pant size if you wear your gear outside the waistband (OWB), or 6 inches if you wear it inside the waistband (IWB). Cut at that mark with sharp scissors. Example: a 34" pant size cuts at 38" for OWB or 40" for IWB.
- Attach the buckle. Loosen the two set screws on the back of the buckle with the included wrench and push the cut end all the way into the toothed receptacle.
- Lock it in. Clamp the teeth down firmly first, then snug the set screws until they sit flush. Don't overtighten or strip them.
- Check the fit. Wrap the belt left to right, feed it through the buckle and ratchet it snug. The tip should reach about 3" past your first belt loop.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the Kore 1.5" EDC Belt Strap
Which buckles fit this strap?
Kore X Series buckles and Western Collection buckles. It does not fit G-Series (garrison), battle belt buckles or Kore's fashion buckles.
How do I pick a size?
Take your pant size, add 4" if you wear your gear outside the waistband or 6" inside the waistband, and choose the size whose range covers that number. If you land near the top of a range, try the strap on before you cut.
How do I put my buckle on the new strap?
Loosen the two set screws on the buckle, slide the cut end of the strap fully into the toothed receptacle, clamp the teeth down, then snug the screws flush. It takes a few minutes with the wrench that came with your buckle.
Leather or tactical nylon?
Leather and Armortek straps suit everyday and dress wear with lighter loads. Tactical nylon is stiffer and rated up to 10 lbs of total gear, so pick nylon if you carry more.
Is the 1.5" EDC belt strap covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs or fraying is not covered. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we'll handle the claim for you.
