Description:
A full grain leather ratchet belt you can wear every day. The Kore Essentials 1.5" leather EDC belt looks like a classic dress belt but has a hidden track that clicks to your exact fit and a reinforced core that keeps everyday gear steady. Pick your buckle, color and size below, then cut it to fit at home.
Features
- 1.5" wide, 5mm thick full grain leather: a dress-ready belt with the stiffness to hold gear steady, worn IWB, OWB or appendix.
- Power-Core™ reinforced center: adds stiffness and support so the belt carries up to 4 lbs of gear without sagging, yet still bends when you sit and move.
- Hidden ratchet track, no holes: 40+ size positions in 1/4" steps, so you click to an exact fit instead of choosing between holes an inch apart.
- Super-fiber inner lining: pairs with the leather face for a durable, comfortable belt.
- Interchangeable buckles: works with every Kore 1.5" EDC buckle and 1.5" belt strap, so you can change the look later. Shop Kore buckles and straps and keepers.
- No tip keeper needed: the leather strap lies flat on its own, so none is included or required.
How to choose
- Buckle: every buckle here fits the same 1.5" leather strap and works the same way; the difference is style and finish. Pick the look you like: the X Series (X1 to X13) for a clean modern buckle, or the Western styles (Bull, Cowboy, Flag, Rodeo, Star, Horse and Bison) for a ranch look.
- Color: Black, Brown and Tan are smooth leather; Basketweave Black has a traditional woven pattern; Carbon Fiber has a textured carbon-look face.
- Size: pick by your waist using the chart below. Regular (24"-44") fits most people; choose XL (44"-54") if your cut length lands above 44 inches after adding for how you wear it.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-44") | 24 to 44 inches |
| XL (44"-54") | 44 to 54 inches |
- Find your pant size using the ruler marks printed on the back of the belt.
- Add for how you wear it. Add 4 inches to your pant size if you wear your gear outside the waistband (OWB), or 6 inches if you wear it inside the waistband (IWB). Example: a 34 inch pant size means cutting at the 38 inch mark for OWB or the 40 inch mark for IWB. Cut cleanly with sharp scissors.
- Attach the buckle. Back out the 2 set screws on the back of the buckle with the included wrench, then push the cut end all the way into the toothed side of the buckle.
- Lock it in. Clamp the teeth down firmly first, then snug the set screws until they sit flush. Do not tighten the screws before the teeth are closed, and do not overtighten them.
- Check the fit. Thread the belt left to right through your loops and the buckle and ratchet it snug. The tip should reach about 3 inches past your first belt loop.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the Kore leather EDC belt
Should I order the Regular or XL leather belt?
Work out your cut length first: your pant size plus 4 inches for OWB or plus 6 inches for IWB. If that number is 44 inches or less, Regular (24"-44") fits. If it falls between 44 and 54 inches, choose XL (44"-54").
How much weight can the Kore leather EDC belt carry?
Kore rates this 1.5" full grain leather belt for up to 4 lbs of total gear. It is built as an everyday belt for work, casual and dress wear. For heavier loads, look at the tactical nylon Kore EDC belts, which are rated higher.
Can I swap the buckle later?
Yes. Loosen the 2 set screws with the hex wrench, open the teeth, pull the strap out and fit any Kore 1.5" EDC buckle. It does not work with Q Series, Ranch, Competition, Garrison, Battle or Duty buckles, or with Kore fashion belts.
Does the leather belt come with a tip keeper?
No. Leather straps lie flat without one, so a tip keeper is not included or required.
Is the Kore leather EDC belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs or fraying is not covered. We are an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we will handle the claim for you.
