Description:
Kore Essentials 1.5" Armortek Leather EDC Belt with Ratchet Buckle. Armortek is Kore's man-made super-fiber: it looks and feels like leather, and Kore rates it at twice the durability of traditional leather. A stiff Power-Core center and a hidden ratchet track with no holes give you a dialed-in fit for daily carry at work, on the town or on your day off. Pick from 25 buckle styles, three colors and two sizes. See all Kore EDC belts.
Features
- 1.5" wide, 5mm thick: fits most standard belt loops and handles everyday carry inside the waistband (IWB), outside (OWB) or at the appendix position.
- Armortek Leather man-made super-fiber: scratch resistant and weather resistant, with stretch and recovery so it keeps its shape.
- Power-Core reinforced center: adds stiffness so the belt carries a load without sagging.
- Up to 6 lbs. load rating: Kore's rating for total gear weight on the Armortek belt.
- No holes, 40+ positions: the ratchet track adjusts in 1/4" steps, so you can loosen after lunch or snug up for more gear.
- Interchangeable buckles: works with Kore 1.5" EDC buckles and straps, so you can change the look later without buying a new belt.
- No tip keeper needed: Kore says the Armortek belt does not require one, so none is included.
How to choose
- Buckle: every buckle here fits the same 1.5" strap and works the same way; the difference is the look. Kore says the X7, X9 and X10 are more compact for extra room up front, and the X11 and X12 have an even smaller footprint. The X1 through X10, Western (Bull, Cowboy, Flag, Rodeo, Star), Horse and Bison styles give you everything from plain to engraved. Shop extra Kore buckles.
- Color: Black, Brown or Tan Armortek. Black and Brown dress up or down; Tan suits casual and western looks.
- Size: Regular (24"-44") or XL (44"-54"). Pick by your waist with the chart below. If you are between sizes, Kore recommends the larger one, since the belt is cut to fit.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-44") | 24" to 44" |
| XL (44"-54") | 44" to 54" |
- Find your pant size using the ruler markings printed on the back of the belt.
- Add 4 inches to your pant size if you wear your gear outside the waistband (OWB), or 6 inches if you wear it inside the waistband (IWB). Cut at that mark with sharp scissors. Example: a 34 inch pant size is cut at 38 inches for OWB or 40 inches for IWB.
- Loosen the 2 set screws on the back of the buckle with the included wrench, then push the cut end of the belt all the way into the side of the buckle with the teeth.
- Press the teeth down firmly first, then gently tighten the 2 set screws until they sit flush. Do not overtighten or strip them.
- Put the belt on, feeding it around your waist from left to right and through the buckle, and tighten until snug. The tip should reach about 3 inches past your first belt loop.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

What's included
Your choice of buckle, the 1.5" Armortek Leather belt strap, a hex wrench and set screws. The buckle ships separate and attaches in minutes with the included wrench after you cut the belt to size. Need a spare strap or keepers for other belts? See Kore straps, inner belts and keepers.
Questions about the Armortek EDC belt
Which size should I order, Regular or XL?
Order Regular (24"-44") if your waist falls in that range, or XL (44"-54") for larger waists. You add 4 inches to your pant size for OWB wear or 6 inches for IWB before cutting, so if your cut length lands near 44 inches, choose XL.
How do I cut the belt and attach the buckle?
Mark your pant size plus 4 inches (OWB) or 6 inches (IWB) using the ruler on the back of the belt, cut with sharp scissors, slide the cut end fully into the buckle, clamp the teeth down, then snug the 2 set screws with the included wrench. Try it on before cutting if you are near the top of the size range.
Can I swap buckles later?
Yes. Loosen the set screws and the buckle comes off. Any Kore 1.5" EDC buckle fits this strap. It does not work with Q Series, Ranch Series, Competition, Garrison, Battle or Duty buckles.
How is Armortek different from real leather?
Armortek is a man-made super-fiber with a leather look and feel. Kore rates it at twice the durability of traditional leather, and it is scratch and weather resistant. It is less stiff than Kore's tactical nylon belts and is rated for up to 6 lbs. of gear.
What warranty comes with it?
Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, is not covered. We are an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we will help with a claim.
