The First Tactical Men’s Tactix Parka Shell (Style 118519) is a waterproof, breathable, fully seam-sealed nylon parka built to keep you guarded from the elements while you move and work. Zippered vents, a triple adjustment hood and removable ID panels make it a true duty shell, and it pairs with the Tactix Softshell Parka when you need warmth.

- Bloodborne pathogen resistant fabric: First Tactical lists the shell fabric as resistant to bloodborne pathogens, a useful layer of protection on medical and scene calls.
- Zippered ventilation: open the vents to dump heat when you’re working hard.
- Special underarm design: built for freedom of movement when you reach, climb or lift.
- Dual closing front: a storm flap snaps over a 2-way zipper for a secure, reinforced closure that keeps out wind and rain.
- Triple adjustment hood: the First Tactical Rain Gutter Design™ keeps water from dripping on your face, and 3-way adjustment with molding memory wire lets you shape the hood so your vision stays clear.
- Removable hood: take it off and stow it in the special lumbar pocket when you don’t need it.
- Removable hook and loop ID panels: swap identification on and off to match the assignment.
- Compatible with the Tactix Softshell Parka: add the fleece-lined softshell for cold-weather layering.

We carry the Parka Shell in Black, Midnight Navy and OD Green, sizes XS through 5XL, in Regular and Tall lengths. If you plan to add the Tactix Softshell Parka, order the same size.
Questions about the Tactix Parka Shell
Does the Tactix Parka Shell include a liner?
No. This is the shell only. It is compatible with the Tactix Softshell Parka, which is sold separately. If you want both together, choose the Tactix 3-in-1 System Parka.
Is the Parka Shell waterproof?
Yes. It is 100% nylon, waterproof and breathable, with fully taped seams, and wind resistant.
Can I put department ID on it?
Yes. It has removable hook and loop ID panels, so identification can be swapped on and off.
Is the Tactix Parka Shell flame resistant?
No. The Tactix Parka Shell is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel and is not PPE or turnout gear. The fabric is bloodborne pathogen resistant, but it is not rated for fire.
