Description:
An accelerator that makes Clifton raft adhesives bond stronger and cure faster. Clifton Accelerator ACC 4844 (NRS item 38702.01) mixes with Clifton Hypalon Adhesive FA 4844 and Clifton PVC Adhesive LA 4009. Rescue teams repairing inflatable boats in the shop or the field get a tougher, quicker-curing bond. Shop more raft pumps, valves and repair supplies.
Features
- Stronger bond and shorter cure: when mixed with Clifton Hypalon Adhesive FA 4844 or Clifton PVC Adhesive LA 4009.
- Heat and chemical resistance: with Clifton Urethane Adhesive LA 4123 (NRS item 38700.01) it raises the chemical and heat resistance of the bond; Clifton recommends it when the bonded material will see temperatures above 140°F. This mix does not increase bond strength or shorten cure time.
- Measuring pipet included: plus complete mixing instructions and an MSDS sheet.
- Long shelf life: good as long as it stays liquid.

Questions about the Clifton Accelerator
Which adhesives can I use it with?
Clifton Hypalon Adhesive FA 4844 and Clifton PVC Adhesive LA 4009 for a stronger bond and faster cure, and Clifton Urethane Adhesive LA 4123 for better heat and chemical resistance. It cannot be used with Clifton Hypalon (Shore) Adhesive FA 1065.
What mixing ratio do I use?
The listed ratio is 0.8 oz. (24 ml) of accelerator for a gallon (3.8 liters) of adhesive. The ratios differ between FA 4844 and LA 4009, so follow the included instructions carefully. Too much accelerator will de-activate the glue.
How should I store it?
Keep it tightly capped between uses. The accelerator crystallizes when exposed to moisture; it is good as long as it remains liquid.
When should I add it to urethane adhesive?
When the bonded material will see temperatures above 140°F. With LA 4123 it increases heat and chemical resistance but does not increase bond strength or shorten cure time.
Is this product rated for fire service use?
