Model #6877 — Certified Compliant to NFPA 1970-2025 Standard
The MK-2 Structural Gloves are the next generation of the MK-1, now certified to the new NFPA 1970 Standard. These models retain the core design concept of the original with multi-layers of leather and heat/cut resistant knit fabrics for enhanced protection, flexibility and tactility. Engineered for the modern fireground, the MK-2 includes a modified fit and an integrated leather grab patch to notably improve wet don/doff performance. For maximum longevity, the fingertips now feature a third Kevlar seam and are officially labeled for PFAS compliance.

Proper Sizing
The first number in the size is the measurement of the firefighter's index finger. The letter comes from the width of the hand across the knuckles. See the sizing diagram (from NFPA 1971-2018, Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting) in the product photos for how to measure. If measurements fall between sizes, trade up.
The MK-2 and MK-2 Ultra have a more tailored, functional fit than other structural gloves, so many users trade up one size — especially those with relatively thick hands or fingers. It is recommended to size generously.
Wash Care
Hand wash in a mild detergent such as Tide Free & Gentle or dish liquid; gently wring out excess water; hang dry or machine dry on low-medium heat.
If a gear extractor must be used, do not use turnout gear detergent — its chemicals dry out the natural oils in leather; use Tide Free & Gentle instead.
After any wash, once the gloves have dried, rub Barbasol shave cream into the leather portions to preserve the natural oils and add longevity.
Warranty
Covered against defective workmanship or materials for the life of the gloves.
