Questions about the PW360 PW3 rain jacket
Is the PW360 ANSI Class 2 or Class 3?
Class 3. It is certified to ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 and Type P Class 3, so it covers roadway work and public safety use where Class 3 is required.
How waterproof and breathable is the PW360?
It has sealed seams and waterproof zippers and is rated EN 343 Class 4:3 X, with 11,000 mm water resistance and a 50,000 g/m2/24 hrs breathability rating. Underarm zips add extra venting.
Is the PW360 suitable for rail work?
Portwest states it complies with GO/RT 3279 for the rail industry. Check your railroad or contractor spec before you order, and contact us with questions.
Is the PW360 insulated?
No. It is a shell with a polyester mesh lining. Layer a fleece or insulated jacket underneath for cold weather.
Is the PW360 flame resistant?
No. It is not flame resistant (FR) and should not be worn where FR clothing is required. Hi-vis polyester can melt when exposed to flame or high heat, and it is not firefighting gear.
