Description:
Low bulk and full range of motion for paddlers who move a lot. The NRS Ninja PFD (NRS item 40013.06) is a low-profile, side-entry jacket with Orbit Fit foam that hugs the torso and stays out of the way when you paddle, swim or climb. Its continuous internal webbing harness adds security when someone grabs you by the shoulder straps. It is a strong pick for guides, kayakers and training crews who want less bulk; shop all rescue PFDs and life jackets for Type V options.
Features
- Orbit Fit System: layered pieces of lightweight closed-cell foam are cut to a flexible, pre-curved shape that follows your body, so the jacket is comfortable without over-tightening.
- Every Body Design: one model is built to fit men and women, so there is no need for separate gender-specific versions.
- Graded sizing: flotation and the foam platform change with each size range, so each wearer gets an amount of flotation matched to their body size.
- Internal webbing harness: continuous, interconnected webbing adds security in live-bait drills and when someone grabs you by the shoulder straps.
- Clamshell pocket and hand warmer pocket: the front pocket organizes on-person gear, and the hand warmer pocket holds webbing, gloves or a skull cap.
- Three attachment points: room for a knife, lights or a strobe, plus 3M reflective accents.
- Snag-reducing details: strap garages and a carefully placed lash tab cut down on snag points.
- Stretch knit lining: 4-way stretch double-knit polyester feels good on skin and helps manage moisture.

Questions about the Ninja PFD
How much flotation does the NRS Ninja PFD have?
Flotation is graded by size: XS/M 65N / 14.5 lbs, M/L 70N / 15.75 lbs and XL/XXL 75N / 16.75 lbs. It is rated Performance Level 70.
Does the Ninja have a quick-release rescue belt?
No. The Ninja has an internal webbing harness but no quick-release rescue belt and is not listed as a Type V rescue PFD. The NRS Ninja Pro adds a rescue belt to the same low-profile design.
How do you put on the Ninja?
It is a side-entry jacket. Slip it over your head, close the side buckle, then snug the side, shoulder and waist adjustments.
How do I choose a size?
Measure your chest: XS/M fits 30 to 38 inches, M/L fits 36 to 46 inches and XL/2XL fits 44 to 56 inches.
Is the Ninja PFD flame resistant?
No. The Ninja PFD is water safety gear. It is not flame resistant, it is not structural firefighting PPE and it is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
