Questions about the Boundary Socks
How do I choose a size?
Sizing is unisex and based on shoe size. For example, L fits men's 8–9 or women's 9–10, and 2XL (XXL on the chart) fits men's 12–13 or women's 13–14. See the full chart above.
Are the Boundary Socks waterproof?
Yes. NRS describes them as waterproof: 3 mm neoprene with glued, blind-stitched and fully taped seams, plus a HydroCuff seal at the calf. Water can still come over the top if you wade deeper than the cuff.
How tall are they?
18 inches tall (NRS lists that height for size XXL), made for shallow-water put-ins and take-outs.
Can I wear them inside a boot?
Yes. NRS recommends them with sandals or in a boot as added protection against wet and cold.
Is the Boundary Socks flame resistant?
No. It is water rescue support gear. It is not flame resistant, is not structural firefighting PPE and is not NFPA 1971 certified, so keep it away from fire and high heat.
