Leafield Raft Valves & Parts

Leafield C7, D7, B7, A7 and A6 valves, plus the caps, wrenches and repair kits that keep your boats holding air.

For swiftwater and flood boat crews

Service the Valve, Not the Boat

A leaking valve can put a raft or rescue boat out of service. Most Leafield valves can be rebuilt: the repair kits replace the seal, plunger and spring, and the matching wrench lets your boat tech pull and reseat the valve without damaging it. Keep a spare cap and a repair kit for each valve type on your boats.

Leafield FAQ

  • Who makes Leafield valves?

Leafield Marine, a company in Wiltshire, England, designs and builds valves and inflation systems for life rafts, inflatable boats, evacuation systems and river rafts. Many raft and inflatable boat makers fit Leafield valves at the factory, so these are often direct replacements for the valve already on your boat.

  • How do I tell which Leafield valve my boat has?

Compare your valve with the photos on each listing. The C7 and D7 are low-profile valves, and the D7 is common on drop-stitch and high-pressure boats. The B7 is the long-running standard valve, the A7 recessed valve is found on older Avons, RIBs and dinghies, and the A6 is a pressure relief valve used on inflatable floors. Your boat maker's manual will also name the valve.

  • Can I repair a leaking Leafield valve instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. The C7 and D7 repair kits and the B7/A7 repair kit replace the working parts of the valve, including the seal, plunger and spring. The D7 kit also includes a spare cap o-ring, and the B7/A7 kit includes a cap gasket. Use the matching Leafield wrench to remove and reseat the valve.

  • Which wrench fits my Leafield valve?

The Leafield C7, D7 and A6 Valve Wrench fits the C7 and D7 inflate/deflate valves and the A6 pressure relief valve. The Leafield B7 and A6 Valve Wrench fits the B7 valve and the A6 relief valve.

  • What does the Leafield A6 pressure relief valve do?

The A6 lets air out when pressure goes above 2.5 psi, which helps protect an inflatable floor from damage. It comes with a fine-mesh screen. If the valve starts to leak on the water, the A6 cap plugs it so the floor holds air until the boat is back for service.
