Description:
A replacement or second buckle for your Kore 2.25" duty belt. The Kore Essentials Duty Belt Buckle is the ratcheting buckle for Kore 2.25" micro-adjustable duty belts, sold without the belt. It lets you change the look, from a modern tactical buckle to a classic Sam Browne, or replace a worn buckle without buying a new kit. See all Kore belt buckles.
Features
- Patented spring-loaded ratchet: over 20 positions in 1/4" steps, so you can adjust while seated, on foot or on a long shift without removing your gear.
- Dual-lever quick release: fast on and off for you, while making the belt hard for someone else to pull open.
- Tactical or Sam Browne look: D1 and D2 have a matte tactical look; D3 brings the Sam Browne double-prong style in brass or polished stainless steel.
- Made for Kore 2.25" duty belts: built to work only with the Kore 2.25" duty belt system.
- Hardware included: a hex wrench and set screws come with the buckle.
How to choose
- Buckle: all models ratchet the same way; choose by look and weight. D1 is the compact tactical style; D2 has the same footprint on Kore's spec sheet but a bolder, more aggressive look with extra leverage for gloved hands; D3 Sam Browne Brass and D3 Sam Browne Chrome suit dress uniforms or a traditional duty look. Specs are below.

Questions about the Kore duty buckle
Which belts does the Kore duty buckle fit?
Only Kore 2.25" duty belts. It does not fit Kore 2" patrol belts (those use the P1 and P2 buckles), 1.75" Garrison or battle belts, 1.5" EDC belts, or belts from other brands.
What is the difference between the D1 and D2?
They work the same way. Kore lists both at 2.75 x 2.75 inches in powder-coated aluminum; the D2 has a bolder look with extra leverage for gloved use, and weighs 5.8 oz to the D1's 6 oz.
Brass or chrome Sam Browne?
Both D3 buckles have the classic Sam Browne double-prong look and the same ratchet. Choose brass to match brass hardware, or the polished stainless steel chrome to match silver hardware. Both weigh 8 oz.
How do I swap the buckle on my duty belt?
Loosen the set screws, slide the outer belt out of the old buckle and push it fully into the new one. Close the teeth clamp completely, then gently tighten the set screws until flush. Don't overtighten.
Is the Kore duty buckle covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore Essentials backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, is not covered. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we'll help with the claim.
