Description:
A duty belt that adjusts in quarter inches without coming off. The Kore Essentials 2.25" Duty Belt Complete Kit uses a patented two-belt track system: the outer belt ratchets through the buckle in 1/4" steps while the inner belt flexes with it, so you can loosen up in the cruiser and snug back down on foot without removing your gear. It is made for law enforcement, military and security professionals. See all Kore duty and patrol belts.
Features
- 2.25" wide, 7mm thick: a full-width duty belt rated up to 30 lbs for a radio, flashlight, cuffs, baton and the rest of your duty gear.
- Dual belt track system: over 20 positions in 1/4" increments, adjustable while you wear it. Kore's two-belt track system is patented in the USA.
- Power-Core™ center in both belts: the outer and inner belts are reinforced for stiffness and long-term support.
- Armortek Leather™ outer belt: a man-made material Kore says is twice as tough as leather, weather and scratch resistant, with the look and feel of cowhide. The Nylon Black finish is nylon.
- Inner belt with a flex section: made of tough scuba webbing; the flex section moves with the outer belt instead of stacking hook-and-loop on hook-and-loop, so there is no bulky overlap.
- Ratcheting duty buckle: Kore duty buckles use a patented spring-loaded ratchet and a dual release lever, so they stay closed under force.
- Assembled in the USA: with imported materials.
How to choose
- Buckle: every buckle here fits the 2.25" belt and ratchets the same way, so choose by look and weight. D1: powder-coated aluminum, 2.75 x 2.75 in., 6 oz. D2: powder-coated aluminum, 2.75 x 2.75 in., 5.8 oz. D3 Brass and D3 Chrome: the classic Sam Browne look in brass or polished stainless steel, 3 x 2.75 in., 8 oz. Kore does not publish specs for the D4.
- Finish: Plain Black (smooth), Basketweave and High Gloss are Armortek outer belts; Nylon Black is a nylon outer belt. Match it to your other duty gear.
- Inner Belt: Non-Padded Inner Belt or Padded Inner Belt (+2mm). Kore says the only difference between the two is 2mm of padding; padded adds comfort under a heavy load, non-padded keeps the setup slimmest.
- Size: Regular (24"-48") or XL (48"-60"), by waist. See the chart below.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-48") | 24"-48" |
| XL (48"-60") | 48"-60" |
- Use the included sizing tape as a cutting guide only. Lay it alongside the belt; don't wrap it around your waist. Always cut from the end opposite the track or flex section.
- Outer belt: find your pant size on the sizing tape and cut the outer belt at that mark, from the end opposite the gray track. Example: a 36 inch pant size is cut at the 36 inch mark.
- Inner belt: find your pant size, subtract 1 inch and cut at that mark, from the end opposite the flex section. Example: a 36 inch pant size is cut at the 35 inch mark.
- Attach the buckle: loosen the set screws, push the cut end of the outer belt fully into the buckle, close the teeth clamp completely, then gently tighten the set screws until flush. Don't overtighten.
- Try it on: run the inner belt through your belt loops and close the hook-and-loop. Center the 4 inch flex section over your zipper; if any hook-and-loop shows behind the flex section, take the inner belt off and trim the extra.
- Lay the outer belt over the inner belt with the buckle at the right edge of the flex section, feed the tip through the buckle, tighten until snug and secure the tip with the tip keeper.
- If the outer belt won't tighten enough, trim 1 inch at a time until it fits. Once the fit is right, attach the metal clip tip to the cut end of the inner belt.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the Kore 2.25" Duty Belt
Should I order the Regular or XL Kore duty belt?
Order by waist: Regular fits 24 to 48 inches and XL fits 48 to 60 inches. You cut the outer belt at your pant size and the inner belt 1 inch shorter. If you are near the top of a range, try the belt on before cutting.
Padded or non-padded inner belt?
Kore says the only difference between the two inner belts is 2mm of padding. Choose padded for extra comfort under a heavy load, or non-padded for the slimmest fit.
Can I wear the Kore duty belt without the inner belt?
Not if you want the micro-adjustment. Kore says the duty belt must be used with a Kore inner liner belt to get the 1/4" adjustable fit. The outer belt attaches to the inner belt with hook-and-loop.
Is the Kore duty belt flame resistant?
No. It is a duty belt built for patrol and everyday duty wear. It is not flame resistant (FR), is not NFPA certified, and is not PPE or turnout gear.
Is the Kore duty belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore Essentials backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, is not covered. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we'll help with the claim.
