Description:
A duty belt you adjust on the move. The Kore Essentials 2" Patrol Duty Belt is a two-belt system: an outer patrol belt with a hidden ratchet track and a hook-and-loop inner belt that runs through your pant loops. You tighten or loosen in 1/4" steps without undoing the belt or the buckle, so it fits right at the start of shift and after hours in the car. It is built for law enforcement, military and security professionals. See all Kore duty and patrol belts.
Features
- 2" wide, 7 mm thick, rated to 30 lbs: carries a radio, flashlight, cuffs, baton and the rest of your duty gear.
- Hidden track sewn into the back: over 20 size positions in 1/4" increments for a precise fit all day.
- Inner belt that moves with you: the outer belt's hook lining grips the inner belt's loop face, and a flexible section in the scuba-webbing inner belt lets both belts adjust in and out together instead of locking in place.
- Power-Core™ reinforced center: in both the outer and inner belt for added stiffness, support and durability.
- Aluminum ratchet buckle with dual release: a spring-loaded mechanism locks the fit, and the dual release helps keep anyone from pulling the belt off you.
- Assembled in the USA: from imported materials, using Kore's patented two-belt adjustable track system.
How to choose
- Buckle: P1 or P2. Both are 2" patrol buckles made for this belt; pick the look you prefer. Kore's 2.25" D-series, G-series, X-series and Western buckles do not fit.
- Finish: Plain Black is a smooth black Armortek man-made super fiber outer belt, Nylon Black is a black nylon outer belt, and Basketweave has a basketweave-pattern face.
- Inner Belt: choose No Inner Belt (Outer Belt + Buckle) if you already own a Kore inner belt, or add a Non-Padded Inner Belt or Padded Inner Belt (+2mm). Kore says the only difference between the two inner belts is 2mm of padding. The outer belt needs a Kore inner belt to micro-adjust.
- Size: one size, Regular (24"-48"), cut to your waist. See sizing below.
- Spare parts and extra keepers: Kore straps, inner belts and keepers; other buckles: Kore buckles.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-48") | 24 to 48 inches |
- Use the included sizing tape as a cutting guide only. Do not wrap it around your waist. Always cut from the end opposite the track (outer belt) or flex section (inner belt).
- Outer belt: lay the tape beside the belt, find your pant size and cut at that mark. Example: a 36" pant size is cut at 36".
- Inner belt: find your pant size, subtract 1 inch and cut there. Example: a 36" pant size is cut at 35".
- Attach the buckle. Loosen the set screws, push the cut end of the outer belt fully into the buckle, close the teeth clamp first, then gently tighten the screws until flush. Do not force or overtighten them.
- Try it on. Feed the inner belt through your pant loops and press the hook-and-loop ends together, with the 4" flex section centered over your zipper. If hook-and-loop shows behind the flex section, take the inner belt off and trim the extra. Lay the outer belt over it with the buckle at the right edge of the flex section, feed the tip through the buckle, tighten until snug and secure the tip with the Tip Keeper.
- Fine-tune. If the outer belt will not tighten enough, trim 1 inch at a time. Once the fit is right, attach the metal clip tip to the cut end of the inner belt.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the Kore 2" patrol duty belt
Do I need the inner belt?
Yes, if you want the micro-adjust feature. The outer patrol belt is designed to be worn over a Kore inner belt. If you already own one, choose No Inner Belt (Outer Belt + Buckle).
What is the difference between the padded and non-padded inner belt?
Kore says the only difference is 2mm of padding. The padded version adds a little cushion at the waist; both attach and adjust the same way.
Which buckles fit the 2" patrol belt?
Only Kore's 2" P1 and P2 patrol buckles. The 2.25" D-series duty buckles, G-series, X-series and Western buckles are not compatible.
Is the Kore patrol duty belt flame resistant?
No. It is a duty belt made from man-made super fiber or nylon. It is not flame resistant (FR), is not NFPA certified, and is not PPE or turnout gear.
Is the Kore patrol duty belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, is not covered, and proof of purchase is required. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us for a claim.
