Description:
Support that disappears under a suit. The Kore Essentials 1.5" Executive Protection Belt is a dual belt system built for executive protection, private security and specialty law enforcement work where you need to carry a working load but still look sharp in dress pants. An outer belt rides on a hook-and-loop inner belt, and Kore's track lets you fine-tune the fit in 1/4" steps without taking the belt off. See all Kore executive protection belts.
Features
- Patented dual belt track: make 1/4" micro-adjustments on the fly, with over 20 size positions, and the belt never comes off. Kore's dual belt track system is patented in the USA.
- Power-Core™ reinforced center: both the outer and inner belt carry Kore's reinforced core for stiffness and long-term support, so the belt holds a load without sagging.
- Armortek Leather™ outer belt: a man-made, bio-engineered material Kore rates as twice as tough as leather, weather and scratch resistant, with the look and feel of cowhide.
- 1.5" wide, 6 mm thick: a slim, professional profile rated up to 10 lbs worn outside the waistband (OWB).
- Low-bulk inner belt: tough scuba webbing with a flexible section that moves with the outer belt, instead of thick hook-and-loop over hook-and-loop that locks the fit in place.
- Interchangeable buckles: works with all Kore X Series buckles and the Western Collection buckles, so you can change the look later.
- Tip keeper included: holds the belt tip flat and tidy.
How to choose
- Buckle: X1 through X13 are Kore X Series buckles; Bull, Star, Rodeo, Flag and Cowboy are Western Collection buckles. Every one fits this 1.5" belt and works the same way, so pick the look and finish you like.
- Color: Black, Brown and Tan are Armortek leather outer belts. Scuba Tactical Black is the tactical version of the EP belt.
- Inner Belt: Kore says the only difference between the two inner belts is 2 mm of padding: Non-Padded Inner Belt for the thinnest profile, Padded Inner Belt (+2mm) for a little more cushion. The EP belt needs a Kore inner belt for the micro-adjust feature to work, so choose No Inner Belt (Outer Belt + Buckle) only if you already own a Kore inner belt.
- Size: one size, Regular (24"-48"), cut to your waist. See the steps below.
Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-48") | 24" to 48" |
Use the Kore sizing tape as a cutting guide only. Lay it next to the belt; don't wrap it around your waist. Always cut from the end opposite the track or flex section.
- Cut the outer belt at your pant size. Example: a 36" pant size cuts at the 36" mark.
- Cut the inner belt at your pant size minus 1 inch. Example: a 36" pant size cuts at 35".
- Attach the buckle. Loosen the set screws, push the cut end of the outer belt fully into the buckle and close the teeth clamp completely before you gently tighten the screws flush. Don't overtighten.
- Try it on. Run the inner belt through your belt loops, close the hook-and-loop ends and center the 4" flex section over your zipper. If hook-and-loop shows behind the flex section, trim the extra. Lay the outer belt over the inner with the buckle at the right edge of the flex section, ratchet it snug and tuck the tip under the tip keeper.
- Fine-tune. If the outer belt won't tighten enough, trim 1 inch at a time until it fits. Once the fit is right, put the metal clip tip on the cut end of the inner belt.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the Kore Executive Protection Belt
Do I need the inner belt?
Yes, to get the micro-adjust feature. The EP belt is a dual belt system: the outer belt attaches to a Kore inner belt with hook and loop, and the two adjust together. Choose No Inner Belt (Outer Belt + Buckle) only if you already have a Kore inner belt.
Padded or non-padded inner belt?
Kore says the only difference is 2 mm of padding. Non-padded keeps the profile as thin as possible under a suit coat; padded adds a little cushion for long shifts.
How do I size and cut the EP belt?
Cut the outer belt at your pant size and the inner belt at your pant size minus 1 inch, always from the end opposite the track or flex section. If you're near the top of the 24"-48" range, try it on before cutting. Cut belts can't be returned.
Is the Executive Protection Belt flame resistant?
No. It is a leather-look duty belt for professional wear, not flame-resistant (FR) gear. It is not NFPA certified and is not PPE or turnout gear.
Is the Executive Protection Belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs or fraying is not covered. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us and we'll handle the claim for you.
