Description:
Western style on a belt that fits to the quarter inch. The Kore Essentials Buffalo Leather Western EDC Belt pairs a 1.5" top grain buffalo leather strap with a Kore ratchet buckle, so you dial in your fit in small steps instead of picking a hole. It is made for everyday wear and light carry, at work, at home or out on the town. See all Kore 1.5" EDC belts.
Features
- 1.5" wide, 5 mm thick: the standard Kore EDC width, so the strap takes any Kore 1.5" X-series or Western buckle.
- Hidden ratchet track: over 40 size positions in 1/4" steps and no holes, so you can loosen after a meal or snug up when you load up without unbuckling.
- Power-Core™ reinforced center: adds stiffness and support so the belt holds your gear without sagging, yet stays flexible enough to sit and move all day.
- Top grain buffalo leather outer, Super Fiber inner: two layers built for daily use.
- Load rating up to 6 lbs: total gear weight, worn IWB, OWB or appendix.
- Leather that wears in, not out: buffalo leather has no protective coating, so it picks up a worn shine, softens in color and shows character over time. Rub out small scratches firmly with your fingers.
How to choose
- Buckle: the Western buckles (Bull, Cowboy, Flag, Rodeo, Star, Bison Antique Bronze, Bison Antique Silver, Horse Antique Bronze, Horse Antique Silver) give a classic western look; the X-series buckles (X1 Gunmetal through X13) give a clean modern look. All of them fit the same 1.5" strap and work the same way, so pick the style you like.
- Color: Black, Brown, Coffee, Mocha or Tan buffalo leather.
- Size: one size, Regular (24"-44"), that you cut to your waist. See sizing below.

Sizing: measure before you cut
| Size option | Fits waist |
|---|---|
| Regular (24"-44") | 24 to 44 inches |
- Find your pant size using the ruler markings printed on the back of the belt.
- Add for how you wear it, then cut. Add 4 inches to your pant size if you wear your gear outside the waistband (OWB), or 6 inches if you wear it inside the waistband (IWB). Cut at that mark with sharp scissors. Example: a 34" pant size is cut at the 38" mark for OWB or the 40" mark for IWB.
- Attach the buckle. Loosen the 2 set screws on the back of the buckle with the included wrench and push the cut end all the way into the toothed slot.
- Lock it in. Clamp the teeth down firmly first, then gently tighten the set screws until they sit flush. Do not overtighten or strip them.
- Check the fit. Feed the belt around your waist from left to right, through the buckle, and tighten until snug. The tip should reach about 3" past your first belt loop.
If your pant size is close to the top of the size range, do not cut. Try the belt on first, then trim.
Cut belts can't be returned or exchanged, so measure twice and cut once. See our return policy.

Questions about the buffalo leather western belt
What size Kore western belt should I order?
This belt comes in one size, Regular (24"-44"). It ships long and you cut it to fit: take your pant size and add 4 inches for OWB wear or 6 inches for IWB wear, then cut at that mark on the back of the belt.
How do I care for buffalo leather?
Buffalo leather is uncoated, so it will get a worn shine, fade a little and can stain. That aging is intended. Small scratches usually rub out with firm pressure from your fingers, since the natural oils in your skin work into the leather.
Can I swap buckles later?
Yes. Any Kore 1.5" X-series or Western buckle fits this strap. Loosen the 2 set screws, slide the strap out and fit the new buckle. Kore's classic fashion buckles are not interchangeable with this belt.
Is a leather belt stiff enough for daily carry?
It is rated for up to 6 lbs of total gear. Kore's leather belts are EDC belts for work, casual and dress wear, not tactical or duty belts. If you carry more, Kore's nylon tactical EDC belts are rated to 10 lbs.
Is the Kore western belt covered by a warranty?
Yes. Kore backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects under normal use. Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, scuffs or fraying, is not covered, and proof of purchase is required. We're an authorized Kore Essentials dealer, so contact us for a claim.
Where can I buy the Kore Essentials buffalo leather western belt?
Right here. The Public Safety Store is a firefighter-owned, authorized Kore Essentials dealer. Questions about sizing or an order? Contact us. Every order is covered by our price match guarantee and easy 30-day returns (uncut belts only).
