Hero's Pride SWAT & Service Insignia
Hero's Pride SWAT & Service Insignia
Mark the team and the years. This category has S.W.A.T. chest patches and back patches in sew-on and hook-and-loop styles, reflective SWAT patches, S.O.R.T. chest patches, SWAT die struck letters, a SWAT watch cap and a SWAT operator qualification pin.
For time in service there are service bars on continuous felt (1 x 1/4 inch bars in many thread and background colors) and one, two and three bar service patches for 5, 10 and 15 years.
See collar brass and rank insignia and flag patches, or browse all Hero's Pride Insignia & Badges and the Hero's Pride brand page.
How to choose
- Placement: Chest patches are about 4 x 2 or 5-1/2 x 2-5/8 inch. Back patches are 11 x 4 or 11 x 5-1/2 inch.
- Attachment: Hook-and-loop patches move between vests and jackets. Sew-on patches stay put on a uniform shirt.
- Visibility: Reflective patches add low-light visibility. Subdued colors such as black on olive drab blend in.
SWAT & Service FAQ
How do service bars work?
Each bar marks a set number of years. Your department sets the rule. The service patches here, for example, use one bar for 5 years, two for 10 and three for 15.
What is continuous felt?
Continuous felt service bars come as a strip that you cut to the number of bars you need, then sew on.
Do the SWAT patches fit a vest panel?
The hook-and-loop chest and back patches fit a loop panel on a vest or plate carrier. Check the patch size against your panel.
