Description:
AERO-TAC traction and comfort in a 3-inch low. The First Tactical 3-inch AERO-TAC™ Low (Style 165930) is the low-cut member of the AERO-TAC line. It keeps the breathable fused-TPU mesh upper, the EVA/TPU midsole and the REZ-TRAC™ outsole in a shoe instead of a boot. It’s made for station duty, EMS runs, training days and anyone who prefers a low.
Features
- Hyperfusion Technology upper: TPU overlays are fused to the breathable poly mesh instead of stitched, so they won’t delaminate and the surface stays light and abrasion-resistant.
- REZ-TRAC™ outsole: a proprietary tread pattern that gives traction and stability in every direction.
- Slip resistance: the outsole exceeds EN 20345:2022 and ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards.
- Running-shoe comfort: a proprietary EVA/TPU foam blend midsole and an Ortholite® open-cell insole keep you comfortable through a long shift.
- Aegis® anti-microbial lining: the poly mesh lining is treated to fight odor.
- TPU toe cap: adds scuff protection at the toe, where boots wear first.
- Nylon shank, metal-free build: support underfoot with no metal in the boot.
Fit and sizing
The AERO-TAC Low is a 3-inch height with no side zip. We carry it in men’s sizes 6 through 12, including half sizes 6.5 through 11.5, in Regular width. First Tactical’s size chart lists the women’s equivalent 1.5 sizes up (a men’s 8 is a women’s 9.5), which helps if you are ordering for a woman on your crew.
Questions about the AERO-TAC Low
What sizes and widths do you carry in the AERO-TAC Low?
We carry men’s sizes 6 through 12, including half sizes 6.5 through 11.5, in Regular width. First Tactical’s size chart lists the women’s equivalent 1.5 sizes up (a men’s 8 is a women’s 9.5), which helps if you are ordering for a woman on your crew.
Does the AERO-TAC Low have a side zip?
No. The YKK® side zip is on the 5-inch and 8-inch AERO-TAC models. The 3-inch low doesn’t have one.
Is the AERO-TAC Low waterproof or safety toe?
Neither. It has a breathable mesh upper with a TPU toe cap for scuff protection. For a waterproof membrane or a safety toe, step up to a 5-inch or 8-inch AERO-TAC H2O or Safety Toe model.
Which First Tactical AERO-TAC should I choose?
Start with height. The 8-inch AERO-TAC boot covers the most ankle, the 5-inch mid splits the difference, and the 3-inch low wears closest to an athletic shoe. Then pick the version: the standard side-zip models are the simplest and most breathable, the H2O models add a HydroGuard® waterproof bootie, the Safety Toe models add a metal-free nylon and fiberglass toe, and the 5-inch Polishable mid has a leather toe box you can shine for inspection and Class A days. For a leather-and-synthetic boot instead of mesh, look at the Operator line. Compare them all in our First Tactical boots and socks collection.

First Tactical backs its gear with a limited lifetime warranty when bought from an authorized dealer. The Public Safety Store is an authorized First Tactical dealer, so you’re covered. For a warranty question or claim, contact us and we’ll handle it with First Tactical.
