The light AERO-TAC mid with a toe you can shine. The First Tactical 5-inch AERO-TAC™ Polishable Side-Zip Mid (Style 165933) swaps the TPU toe cap for a leather toe box, so you can put a shine on the front of the boot for uniform inspections and Class A days. Everything else is AERO-TAC: a breathable fused-TPU mesh upper, YKK® side zip, Ortholite® insole and REZ-TRAC™ outsole.

What part of the boot is polishable?
The toe box, which is leather. The rest of the upper is poly mesh with fused TPU layers. Unlike the other AERO-TAC models, this one has no TPU toe cap, so the leather is what you shine.
Is the Polishable mid waterproof or safety toe?
Neither. It has no waterproof membrane and no safety toe. For those, choose an AERO-TAC H2O or Safety Toe model.
Which First Tactical AERO-TAC should I choose?
Start with height. The 8-inch AERO-TAC boot covers the most ankle, the 5-inch mid splits the difference, and the 3-inch low wears closest to an athletic shoe.
