Description:
Practice applying disposable restraints without burning through live ones. The red Training Tri-Fold (ASP 56198) matches the standard Tri-Fold in materials, construction and operation, but it can be released and removed without cutting. Instructors use it to keep drills moving and to avoid wasting live restraints. The pack holds 10.
Features
- Releases without cutting: apply, release and apply again during a class.
- Same design as the live Tri-Fold: trainees learn on the same strap, ratchet and pull they will carry.
- Folds in three places: stores compactly and opens into a wide loop.
- Extra-wide strap with smooth edges: safer on classmates during repeated application.
- Enclosed ratchet block with shim guard: the same pick-resistant block as the standard restraint.
- Molded pull and compression lock buttons: practice the full tighten-and-lock sequence.
Who uses the training version
Red marks these as training pieces so they are not mixed up with live restraints in a kit. Use them for classes, in-service training and team drills. When you are ready for field use, move to the black or yellow Tri-Folds in the ASP restraints category. The newer polymer formulation resists drying out and turning brittle.
Made in China. Sold as a 10-pack.
