The AIRE Inflatable Boat Repair Kit (NRS item 37253.02) has what you need to handle punctures, tears, zipper problems and other field repairs on AIRE rafts, catarafts and IKs. - No flammable adhesive: Tear-Aid Type A tape patches holes in the inner urethane bladder; unless it is a large tear, it can be a permanent repair.
- Needle and thread: to stitch tears in the outer PVC skin closed in the field.
- Leafield valve tools: C7 and B7 valve wrenches, a Leafield valve adapter and a vinyl tubing adapter.
- Patch strips: PVC, clear urethane and urethane-coated nylon.
- 5L dry bag: water-resistant, with a fold-down closure and a clear window to spot what you need.

Questions about the AIRE Repair Kit
Does the kit include glue?
No. It does not contain a flammable adhesive. Tear-Aid Type A tape handles bladder holes instead.
How do I fix a hole in the bladder?
Patch it with the included Tear-Aid Type A repair tape. Unless it is a large tear, this can be a permanent repair.
What about a tear in the outer skin?
Use the needle and thread to stitch the sides together in the field. Back home, glue on an inner patch or have a welded repair done; contact us for help with the next step.
Is the AIRE Repair Kit flame resistant?
No. The AIRE Repair Kit is boat repair and rigging gear for water rescue teams. It is not flame resistant, is not PPE and is not rated for fire or high-heat use.
Is the bag waterproof?
It is a 5L water-resistant dry bag with a fold-down closure and a clear window.
