ZipDry: A Seal Built to Go Under

A roll-top bag keeps out splashes. Watershed's ZipDry closure is an airtight seal, rated watertight at 300 feet of submersion, on polyurethane-coated nylon with RF-welded seams. Pair a Chattooga or Ocoee duffel with its foam-padded liner and radios, cameras and medical electronics ride cushioned and dry.

These are dry bags, not flotation. Lash them into the boat and do not count on a bag to float a load. Compare the bags.

Watershed FAQ

  • What is a ZipDry seal?

ZipDry is Watershed's airtight closure. Watershed rates it watertight at 300 feet of submersion, which is why its bags are called submersible rather than just water-resistant. Keep the seal clean so it closes fully.

  • What are Watershed bags made of?

Our Watershed duffels and packs are polyurethane-coated nylon that is heavy-duty, UV-resistant and waterproof, with RF-welded seams. The liners use closed-cell foam inside a 200-denier nylon shell with a fleece lining.

  • Which Watershed bag should my team carry a med kit in?

The 22 L Chattooga Dry Duffel is sized for a group med kit or camera gear and lashes into a boat at six points. For a smaller personal kit and radio, the 10.5 L Ocoee works. Add the matching liner for fragile electronics.

  • Do the liners fit any duffel?

Each liner is made for its own duffel: the Chattooga Liner for the Chattooga Dry Duffel and the Ocoee Liner for the Ocoee Dry Duffel. The fleece lining takes hook-and-loop dividers so you can separate gear.

  • Will a Watershed bag float my gear?

A sealed bag traps air, but it is a dry bag, not flotation. Lash it into the boat or vehicle and do not rely on it to keep heavy equipment afloat.

  • Is there a warranty on Watershed bags?

Watershed publishes its own warranty terms. The Public Safety Store is an authorized Watershed dealer, so if a bag has a problem, send us your order number and we'll help with the claim.

  • Where can I buy Watershed?

You can buy Watershed at The Public Safety Store, For the Brave Behind the Badge, a firefighter-owned store and an authorized Watershed dealer. We carry the Ocoee, Chattooga, Yukon, Colorado and Mississippi dry duffels, the Big Creek, Animas and Westwater backpacks, and the Ocoee and Chattooga liners.
