Questions about the American Legacy 6" Nano Toe Moc
What kind of safety toe does the American Legacy 6 inch moc have?
A Nano composite safety toe. It offers ASTM-certified protection in a lighter, slimmer profile than a traditional safety toe, and the boot also carries an EH (electrical hazard) rating.
Is the outsole slip and oil resistant?
Yes. The MAXWear Wedge outsole is listed as both oil-resistant and slip-resistant.
Where is the American Legacy 6 inch nano toe moc made?
Made in USA with USA and globally sourced components.
Can the American Legacy 6 inch nano toe moc be resoled?
It is built with Goodyear storm welt construction, and welt construction is what makes resoling possible. Whether a given pair can be resoled depends on its condition, so have a boot repair shop look at it when the time comes.
Can I wear the American Legacy 6 inch nano toe moc for firefighting?
No. The American Legacy 6 inch nano toe moc is a work boot, not a structural firefighting (NFPA 1971/1970) boot or turnout boot, so do not wear it for interior or structural firefighting. Its EH rating is an ASTM electrical-hazard rating, not fire protection.
