Sterling Rope was founded in 1992 and is based in Maine, with manufacturing in the US and Canada. Sterling was first with a 48-carrier static sheath and with HTP, a 100% polyester static rope, and first to bring 100% Technora rope to the fire service, helping FDNY build the first escape kit.
