Specialty Bags & Packs

Specialty Bags & Packs

Specialty bags cover the jobs a standard backpack or duffel does not. This category holds EMS response backpacks, waist packs and thigh packs, waterproof phone and radio cases, dry bags and dry boxes for boats, tool totes and organizers, sling bags and crossbody bags, plus a soft-sided cooler. It is a wide mix, so filter by brand or type to narrow it down.

How to choose

  • Water protection: For boat or flood work, choose a roll-top dry bag or a waterproof case. Check the seal style and how it closes.
  • Response packs: EMS packs with color-coded or modular pouches make it faster to find supplies on a call.
  • Carry style: Waist and thigh packs keep small kits close. Convertible backpacks can switch between backpack and shoulder carry.
  • Visibility: Hi-vis yellow and red packs are easier to spot on a busy scene.

Specialty Bag FAQ

What is the difference between a dry bag and a waterproof case?

A dry bag rolls closed to keep gear dry in rain and splashes. A waterproof case seals around a phone or radio so you can still use it.

Can a waist pack replace a jump bag?

For basic first aid or a personal trauma kit, yes. For full patient care, most crews still carry a larger bag.
