Keep the Radio Working in the Water

Aquapac VHF cases are rated submersible to 30 ft and keep out dust and sand. Voice passes through the case, so you can talk and listen without opening it. The Small VHF Pro 229 is made of military-spec reinforced polyurethane for rescue professionals, and the Classic cases have clear windows so you can read the display.

Aquapac FAQ

  • Who makes Aquapac cases?

Aquapac is a British company that has made waterproof cases since 1983. Most of its cases are made in its own factory in Lancashire, England. Aquapac makes cases for phones, VHF and two-way radios, tablets, cameras, maps and medical devices, plus dry bags.

  • Can I use my phone or radio inside an Aquapac case?

Yes. Sound and signal pass through the case material, so you can talk, listen and run the touchscreen or radio buttons without opening the case. The VHF Classic cases have a clear window on each side so you can read the display.

  • How deep can an Aquapac case go?

Every Aquapac case we carry is rated to 30 ft (10 m) underwater, and the phone and belt cases carry an IPX8 rating. Aquapac says its IPX8 cases are independently tested to 10 m and that each case is pressure tested at the factory before it ships.

  • Which Aquapac case fits my VHF radio?

The Small VHF Classic 228 and Small VHF Pro 229 fit smaller handheld VHF radios; the Pro uses tougher military-spec reinforced polyurethane. The Large VHF Classic 248 is for VHF radios with longer antennas and for satellite phones. Measure your radio with the antenna before you order.

  • Do Aquapac cases float?

The Mini 108 phone case and the VHF Classic cases are listed as floating if dropped, because of the air sealed inside. Still secure the case to yourself or your PFD so it does not drift away in current.

  • Where can I buy Aquapac?

You can buy Aquapac at The Public Safety Store, For the Brave Behind the Badge, a firefighter-owned store and an authorized Aquapac dealer. We carry Aquapac phone, VHF radio and belt cases. Every order is backed by our price match guarantee and easy 30-day returns.
