Questions about the Uniform BDU Trouser
What is the difference between the ripstop and twill fabrics?
The ripstop is 60% cotton / 40% polyester woven in a ripstop pattern. The twill is 65% polyester / 35% cotton. Both versions share the same six-pocket design, zipper fly and reinforced seat and knees.
How do the Uniform BDU Trousers fit?
They come in waist sizes XS through 3XL with Regular or Long inseams. Adjustable waist tabs fine-tune the waist, and drawstring leg closures let you blouse them over boots.
How is this different from a traditional BDU pant?
It is made to the same standards as Propper's traditional BDU, but the button fly has been updated to a zipper fly, and it was formerly sold as the Genuine Gear BDU Trouser.
Are the Uniform BDU Trousers flame resistant?
No. The Uniform BDU Trouser is not flame-resistant (FR) apparel, carries no NFPA certification and is not PPE or turnout gear. Wear it for uniform duty, training and outdoor work, not for fire exposure.
Will they hold up to frequent washing?
Yes. The fabric is fade-, shrink- and wrinkle-resistant, and the felled seams and reinforced seat and knees are built for durability.
