A mil-spec boonie for sun and heat. The Propper Boonie (Style F550221) is made to military specification MIL-H-44105B in 50% nylon, 50% cotton ripstop in OCP. A wide brim keeps the sun off your face, metal vent holes keep your head cool and an adjustable chin strap holds it in place.

How do I pick a boonie size?
Boonies use fitted hat sizes from 7 to 7 7/8. Measure around your head just above the ears and match that to a fitted hat size, or order the size of a fitted cap that already fits you. The adjustable chin strap helps keep it secure.

Yes. The wide brim shades your face and neck, and metal vent holes on each side of the crown let air circulate.
