Is the PS54 Type I or Type II? Class E, G or C?
Type I, Class E. It meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type I, Class E, and is also tested to EN 397 and EN 50365 Type B Class 0.
Does the PS54 work with ear muffs?
Yes. It is compatible with the PW47 clip-on ear muff and the PS58 hard hat visor holder.

How often should the PS54 be replaced?
Portwest rates it for up to 7 years from the manufacturing date, as long as it is undamaged. Replace it sooner after any impact, crack or damage.
Is the Portwest PS54 flame resistant?
No. The PS54 is not flame resistant (FR) and is not firefighting head protection. It is industrial head protection and should not be used for structural firefighting.
