What is the breaking strength of the rope?
The 1/4 inch UltraLine rope has a maximum tensile strength of 2,495 lbs. (11.1 kN). Knots reduce a rope's tensile strength, so NRS makes no claim about the strength of the bag as a whole; the maximum load listed is for the rope alone.
How is it different from the standard Guardian waist bag?
The Pro version uses UltraLine rope with a Spectra core rated to 2,495 lbs., strong enough for unpinning kayaks as well as rescuing swimmers.
Can the throw bag be removed from the belt?
Yes. The internal Wedge Throw Bag comes completely free from the waist belt.
