Features
- Diminishing tubes: 20 inch main tubes taper to 18 inches at the ends for more cargo room, easier paddling and strong wave punching.
- Seven end-panel design: opens up more cargo room in the bow and stern compartments.
- Heavy-duty Pennel Orca material: highly resistant to abrasion, chemicals and UV, with reinforced side tubes and floor to armor the boat in low water and against rocks and beaches.
- Four main tube air chambers: add security in an emergency.
- Self-bailing floor: quick-draining holes empty water on their own, so nobody has to bail with a bucket.
- 14 D-rings (2 inch) and 8 handles: give plenty of points for rigging, carrying and launching.
- Leafield C7 valves: make inflation and deflation of the tubes, thwarts and floor easy, and a Leafield A6 pressure relief valve protects the floor.
- BAT thwart system: the Batten Attachment Thwart system lets you add or remove thwarts for a paddle crew or a rowing frame.

Questions about the E-152D raft
How many people does the NRS E-152D carry?
With all thwarts installed, the E-152D carries up to 11 paddlers. It comes with 2 thwarts, and the BAT system lets you add or remove thwarts for a paddle crew or a rowing frame.
How many air chambers does the NRS E-152D have?
The spec table lists 7 air chambers in total. The main tube is divided into four chambers for added security in an emergency, and the tubes, thwarts and floor inflate through Leafield C7 valves, with a Leafield A6 pressure relief valve protecting the floor.
Can the NRS E-152D be rowed with a frame?
Yes. The BAT (Batten Attachment Thwart) system lets you remove thwarts to make room for a rowing frame. Specs call for a 66" suggested NRS frame width, with a maximum frame length of 90" and a flat area length of 78". Frame side rails can safely run partway onto the first up-kick panels, which is why both lengths are listed.
What is the NRS E-152D made of, and what is the warranty?
It is built from heavy-duty Pennel Orca, 48/1670 weight/denier in the tubes and 48/1670 in the floor, with reinforced side tubes and floor. A repair kit is included. NRS backs it with a 10-year retail warranty and a 6-year commercial warranty.
Is the NRS E-152D flame resistant?
No. The NRS E-152D is a whitewater raft. It is not flame resistant and is not rated for fire or high-heat use, so keep it away from open flame and hot surfaces.
