Which patch size should I choose?
The 4.5 inch patch carries a 1 inch stainless steel D-ring. The 6 and 8 inch patches carry a 2 inch D-ring. The 8 inch patch is a good choice when replacing a removed D-ring, because it covers the area of the old patch.
What boats does it work on?
It is made for Pennel Orca (Hypalon) or neoprene boats. Check that it matches the material on your boat, or contact us.
How is the patch built?
Two layers of nylon webbing hold the stainless D-ring to an 840 denier 42-oz. neoprene base, a neoprene strip covers the webbing against UV and abrasion, and a colored Pennel Orca layer is glued on top.
What glue should I use?
NRS does not list an adhesive for this patch. Clifton Hypalon adhesives are used for Hypalon and Pennel Orca; contact us if you are unsure which suits your boat.
Is it flame resistant?
No. It is a raft repair part for water rescue boats and is not rated for fire or high-heat use.
