  • Which Halkey-Roberts valve is on my boat?

    Halkey-Roberts boat valves come in New Short, Old Short and Long styles. Old and new styles are not interchangeable, so check the valve on your boat before ordering a replacement valve, cap or adapter. The parts we list are for the New Short unless noted.

  • What does the pressure relief valve do?

    It is made for self-bailing raft floors and lets air out at 2.5 psi so the floor is not over-pressured, for example when a boat sits in the sun. A replacement boot is sold separately.

  • Do I need a special tool to change a Halkey-Roberts valve?

    A valve wrench makes it much easier. The Halkey-Roberts Metal Valve Wrench is aluminum, does not rust, and fits New Short, Old Short and Long HR valves for removal and installation.

  • How do I connect my pump to a New Short valve?

    Use the New Short Valve Fill Adapter. The 2 inch vinyl hose (5/8 inch inside diameter) joins the adapter to the pump and also fits the Leafield and Summit adapters, so one pump kit can serve a mixed fleet.
