Description:
The H6 Homeland Six Firefighter Radio Strap is a heavy-duty, lightweight radio strap made from military-grade nylon instead of leather, so it can go through a gear extractor with the rest of your turnouts. It was designed by a career firefighter with more than 20 years on a leather strap and a military background, and it is used by firefighters, military aircraft rescue crews and EMS. Choose from eight styles below, including plain black, the gray-tab Iron Series, the red-tab Inferno, 3M reflective trims and IdentiFire glow.
Key Features
- Military-grade nylon construction – built for durability and comfort on the job, with H6 estimating a service life of well over 5 years.
- Extractor washable – H6 designed the strap to be cleaned in an extractor for decontamination; according to H6, the nylon does not hold onto cancer-causing particles the way leather radio straps do.
- 13 attachment points – room to carry a mic, flashlight, trauma shears, glass breaker or other essential tools.
- Visibility options – 3M silver or red/orange reflective tabs for low-light and reduced-visibility conditions, gray or red accent tabs for spotting personnel on rescue and EMS calls, and IdentiFire glow-in-the-dark material that charges in natural sunlight.
- Personalization-ready – the back side of the strap can be embroidered, with several thread colors offered by H6.
- Standard and X-Large sizes – the Standard strap adjusts from 56" to 66"; X-Large is offered in Black and 3M Silver Reflective.
- Made in America – H6 radio straps are 100% made in the USA.
- Builds into a full system – pairs with the H6 Radio Holster with fire resistant liner and the H6 Anti-Sway Strap.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the H6 radio strap be washed in a gear extractor?
Yes. H6 makes the strap from military-grade nylon specifically so it can be extractor washed for decontamination, something a leather radio strap cannot handle.
What's the difference between Standard and X-Large?
The Standard strap adjusts from 56" to 66" and comes in every style. X-Large is a longer version for larger frames or wearing over bulkier gear, and it is offered in Black and 3M Silver Reflective.
What are the Iron Series and Inferno radio straps?
Both are ballistic nylon H6 straps with colored accent tabs that make personnel easier to see on rescue and EMS calls: gray tabs on the Iron Series and red tabs on the Inferno. Matching holsters and sway straps are available in each series.
How does the IdentiFire glow strip work?
The IdentiFire material is a glow-in-the-dark strip that charges in natural sunlight, and it is paired with 3M silver reflective trim for low-light conditions.
