Questions about the basketweave 1911 magazine holder
What magazines does it fit?
It is made for Colt® 1911 .45 caliber magazines and holds two. For 9mm, .40 and Glock® magazines, see Dutyman's 9mm double magazine holders.
What do the closure choices mean?
Black Snap means a snap flap with a black snap for a subdued look with no shiny hardware. Gold Snap means a snap flap with a gold snap to match gold buckles and brass uniform hardware. Hook & Loop means a flap that closes with hook and loop instead of a snap. Silver Snap means a snap flap with a silver (nickel) snap to match silver buckles and hardware. Most officers match the snap color to their buckle and other hardware.
Which finish should I choose: Plain, Basketweave or Hi-Gloss?
This is the Basketweave version: an embossed woven pattern for a traditional look. Dutyman also makes this piece in the other two finishes. Most officers match the finish of their duty belt and the rest of their belt gear so everything looks like one set.
Can I wear it vertically or horizontally?
Yes. It can be worn upright or horizontally on your duty belt.
Is the Dutyman basketweave 1911 magazine holder flame resistant?
No. It is leather duty gear for law enforcement, corrections and security work. It is not flame resistant (FR), is not NFPA certified and is not PPE or turnout gear.
