Description:
Chain handcuffs with a double lock you can set with one finger. The ASP Plus Cuffs Chain (ASP 56060) add keyless double locking to the forged-frame design ASP built its Ultra Cuffs on. This is the steel-bow version with a stainless steel chain, for officers who want the familiar chain layout. Made in Taiwan.
Features
- Keyless double locking: press the color-indicated bar with a fingertip to double lock, with no key needed during application.
- Forged 7075 T6 aluminum frame: strong and light, with smooth rounded edges instead of the sharp edges of stamped parts.
- Steel bows: the steel-bow choice in the Plus line; aluminum-bow versions are listed separately.
- Conical, flat contact bow: fits a wide range of wrists, applies quickly and is radiused to help prevent injury.
- Dual-sided, single-turn keyways: the key works from either side, and one turn direction releases both the lock and the double lock.
- Replaceable Lock Sets: the locks are unitized, so they can be serviced in the field or swapped for a different or high-security configuration.
- Stainless steel chain: free-rotating swivels keep the chain from binding.
Options: 1 Pawl or 2 Pawl
| Option | Part | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Pawl | 56060 | The standard configuration (ASP labels it Tactical). |
| 2 Pawl (Special Key Required) | 46060 | The high-security configuration (ASP labels it Security). It will not open with a standard handcuff key. |
Chain cuffs are the traditional layout. If you prefer a hinge link, look at the hinge version in the same category.

Questions about the Plus Cuffs Chain
What is the difference between 1 Pawl and 2 Pawl Plus Cuffs Chain?
The 1 Pawl version is the standard configuration. The 2 Pawl version is the high-security configuration, and it requires a special key. A standard handcuff key will not open it, so choose 2 Pawl only if your agency issues that key.
Can the double lock be adjusted?
Yes. The double lock can be disengaged and re-engaged with the key without releasing the bows, so you can loosen and re-lock safely.
How does the keyless double lock work on the Plus Cuffs Chain?
Press the color-indicated double lock bar with a fingertip once the cuffs are set. No key is needed to do it. The indicator also shows lock status at a glance, which makes the step harder to skip.
Chain or hinge: which should I choose?
Both share the same frame, bows and locks. This listing has a stainless steel chain with free-rotating swivels. Hinge Plus Cuffs are listed separately.
Steel bow or aluminum bow?
This listing is steel bow. ASP lists it at 0.75 lb. The aluminum-bow chain version is lighter and is listed separately.
